Windmills at night

We were so lucky. Only one week of the year, the windmills are illuminated at night and we arrived just at the last day of this illuminations week. We didn’t know about it in advance and we learned about it by a waitress while having a break and waiting for better light.

Even our hotel manager was willing to keep the kitchen open for us to get a diner after 9 p.m. none of the restaurants in that area won’t serve a meal after 9 p.m. But we can’t be back before 9 p.m. because we wanted to take photographs during the ‘blue hour’.  You can’t imagine, how many locals came to watch the windmills while we were leaving already.
