Tulips

600_0223_wMy last post was on a tulip field, I got introduced to by a friend. Now, I want to show you a few of the different tulips. I was very surprised of the huge variety. Even I know tulips differing in color and size. but, here were tulips of shapes I’ve never seen before.

Originally, tulips came in the 9th century from Persia via Turkey to Europe. Especially in the Netherlands they were beloved. During the 15th and 16th century the trade became so hot and rich people paid huge amounts of money for tulip onions, the this finally ended in a market crash. In 1637 many people lost lots of money while playing in the tulip onion market.

Here is no risk for you enjoying the beauty of the flowers.

Have fun!
