Weekly Photo Challenge: wall

This weeks photo challenge at The Daily Post is called “wall”.

A wall departs and it saves. A wall remains. From stonewalls solid as a rock remaining for centuries or paper walls to depart a small area i.e. for a dressing space to keep privacy.

    1. Thanks, Kerlund.
This old castle was build surprisingly in a narrow valley right next to a river. Thus, you can see it surrounded by a forest. Usually castles were built on to of a hill. Only in areas without hills, they were built in the flatlands. But, those were surrounded with water moats to give an additional layer of security beside the thick walls.

What do you think?
