    1. I don’t know the meaning of the “411”, but I guess, it has a meaning for the owner.
It’s a Ryan ST-3KR aircraft (built since ~1942). While I found several images of this kind of aircraft and some of them with a similar painting, this was the only one with a “411”. But, on other images I saw similar numbers of 3 digits: i.e. 869 or 647. Maybe, it’s a military name of the individual aircraft. This kind of aircraft was also used by airforces and navy bases of many countries.

      1. As a Co-pilot sine i am not certified to fly that type of plane, 10 minutes an i’d have it down though, so yes as a pilot ; da one in control in da air is more fun than a passenger, but in that plane i’d settle jest goin fer a ryde 🙂

          1. me too in a way but the pilot would have a hard time keeping me frum wanting to fly it! once i got my feet on da pedals an my hand on the stick! such a cool airplane it is……..

                1. So, this would be the perfect movie for you: “Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines or How I Flew from London to Paris in 25 hours 11 minutes”
