Lens-Artists Photo Challange 126: Letter “A”

Hands up for the weekend! Half of the weekend is over. So it’s time for the Lens-Artists photo challenge and Patti challenges us with the Letter “A”.

This was a very hard one, at least for me as a non-native speaker. Many things popped up in my mind, but none of them was an English word beginning with the letter “A”.

Take care!

  1. You did an awesome job and your name starts with an “A” I see, so anything would work if you took the shot, right? 🙂 I love “arriving” especially.

  2. I understand you perfectly. I have had the same problem with the language, it has been an added challenge.
You have done very well, I love the result.

  3. Well you certainly overcame your initial issue with being a non-English speaker Andre. Good heavens, what an amazing set of images. So many beautiful favorites, perhaps for me Astonishing (absolutely), Aurora (amazing) and Alone (sad but beautiful) stand out.

    1. thank you so much, Tina. When looking now at other posts, I see, I missed a couple of words: Alpes, Antwerp, Aachen (Aix-la-Chapelle), architecture, astronomy, after, amaryllis, airbrushed, airplane, airport, angle, aligned, armed, anchored, anchor, and I guess, I’d find a lot more when scrolling through my images again.

    1. Thank you so much, Jane. I also love the Aurora. In a few weeks this image will be back in our living room. You know, we’re rotating the images over the year depending on the season

  4. Great set of images – no one would know that you struggled to find any beginning with A, as you have come up with so many! I love the Aurora and the head-on puffin 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Sarah. It’s true and I‘m not fishing for complements. While I unusually coming up with words and find the fitting images afterwards, I now have to scan my images first and see, which one fits. It’s mainly the workflow that differs.

  5. You came up with a lot of great topics and wonderful photos! My favorite is “arriving” – you really captured the eyes on that incoming bird!! I think it would be awesome and acceptable (2 a words, not intentional) to use topics which start with A in your native language!

    1. Thank you so much. The idea, using A-words in my native language, came up to my mind, too, and I was considering it for a couple of moments. But, I decided to face the challenge as it is as I knew, there are a couple of other participants too, who are not native speakers and this blog should be completely in English 😊. It’s a regular training for me 😊. Nevertheless, thanks for sharing your idea.
