That looks like an excellent art installation.
These cups are used in a steel plant for either bringing the liquid iron to the next station or the hot cinder away. Not, while the former steel plant is a museum, that arranged a resting place with the remains.
Ah..I had wondered if those were steel mill ladles..whatever the correct name is. I had an in-law who worked in casting sand and so I saw lots of photos.
