Monochrome Monday 9-14

 

I found this on the trunk of a rotten tree here in a local forest. Moss, lichen, and fungi get nutrition from the remains. The tiny funnels are Cladonia fimbriata or the trumpet cup lichen, less than 2 cm ‘big’.
