Many people hope for rain. Last week Bavaria got some. But it was so fast and some much, that the area got overflooded and nearly nothing got in the ground. Nearly all of the water run away. Desaster for the people in those areas and no benefits for the soils 🙁
Too many scenes like that in the West and Southwest of the US too. My s-i-l and b-i-l moved from France to Norway this year because of work and it was a difficult transition in many ways. But where they were living in France hasn’t had water for some time now so they’re certainly grateful for plenty of water where they are now.
I don’t know about the situation in Norway, but France is regularly in the news. We‘re facing severe problems and too many dumb and ignorant politicians are not willing to start fighting against it.
