In the forest after the rain started

Monochromia

Here in Germany we have a saying “Steter Tropfen holen den Stein” (~ constant dripping wears away the stone), but also “der Tropfen, der das Fass zum überlaufen bringt” (~ the drop that makes the barrel overflowing).

Same is, when rain falls on the forest ground. First, the rain will be soaked. The longer the rain lasts, the more water won’t be soaked. Instead, it searches a way to escape. So, the water comes back to skylight at a tiny, but growing, spring.

More of my images can be seen at my own blog.

Weekly photo challenge: one

DSC_3454-e_wThis weeks photo challenge at “The daily post” has chosen “one” as the theme for our photos.

The one point of interest, the main part or even one of a kind. There are so many unique things to photograph.

Because of christmas I chose this lonely, wooden Santa. Merry Christmas!

Maybe you’re interested to had a look on some other posts here. There are already three other posts on Christmas habits here in my blog and the next one will be online on Sunday.

Take care!
